Angelfish 1
Once swimmers have completed the Goldfish Series they can progress to the Angelfish Series.
On completion of the 3 progressive awards in this series, swimmers will be capable of swimming 25 metres
without aid, perform butterfly stroke as well as mastering sculling techniques and entries to the water.
When do the classes run?
Our current classes run on the following days and times
Please note that some of these classes will take place in a 10-meter section, while others will be held in an 18-meter section, due to limited pool availability.

How much does it cost
Our swimming terms run alongside West Sussex School term and usually run for 6 weeks. The cost of the 6-week term is £75. If a swimmer starts after the term has started this will be adjusted.
How many swimmers in a class?
We can have up to a maximum of 7 swimmers in the water with one Level 2 Instructor teaching from poolside. These classes are run in a 10m section in the deep end of the pool or in
a 18m lane (depending on the day)
Lesson Criteria

Be rescued by a reaching aid

Perform a straddle entry and tread water for 30 seconds.

Push and glide into a forward somersault

Scull headfirst for 10 metres and feet first for 10
metres -
Swim 15 metres of a recognised front stroke with correct breathing

Swim 15 metres of breaststroke - breathing on every armpull

Swim 20 metres of back crawl

Swim 10 metres on the front, using dolphin leg kick,

Start in a crouch position in the water, spring up before gliding to bottom of pool, then glide to surface

Swim 5 metres of lifesaving backstroke without aids
How do I book?
We are fully booked for the current term and are currently maintaining waiting lists for all Angelfish levels.
We would be pleased to add swimmers to the appropriate waiting list and will contact you when a place becomes available. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide an estimated timeframe, as availability depends on renewals and promotions each term.
