INFORMATION

At St Francis Pool, we recognise the benefits that water can offer in alleviating pain and supporting rehabilitation. To support this, we offer three weekly sessions where customers can participate in their own gentle exercises in the pool that best sit their needs.

Please note that we do not have physiotherapists on site, and we recommend consulting a medical professional before attending. Our friendly and supportive lifeguards are available to assist, and we can provide equipment such as pool noodles, swim rings, floats, and disks for use during the session.

While we are not a hydrotherapy pool, our 18-meter pool is heated to a comfortable 31-32 degrees Celsius, creating an ideal environment for most swimmers to perform gentle exercises that may help enhance mobility and strength.

Accessibility

We are pleased to offer an accessible entrance and modern changing facilities; however, please be aware that access into the pool is via ladder steps, as we do not have hoist facilities.

Please visit the facilities section on our website to view pictures of the pool and changing rooms.

Pool Supervision

Two staff members will supervise these sessions. Whenever possible, at least one staff member will hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. Staff members who do not hold this qualification will possess either the STA Safety Award for Teachers or an equivalent credential. Holders of these awards/qualifications are trained in pool rescue, first aid, and adult CPR techniques. If no staff member on duty holds an NPLQ, you will be asked to sign a form prior to entering the pool.
