Adult Lane Evening Swimming

Information
St. Francis Pool is primarily used for children's swimming lessons. However, during quieter periods, we are able to offer designated times for adult lane swimming. The pool is 18 meters in length and maintained at a temperature of 31-32 degrees Celsius, making it suitable for those seeking a more relaxed swimming experience. We provide two double lanes during our sessions, with one designated for slower-paced swimming and the other for faster-paced swimming.
What time do the sessions run?
Our sessions run Tuesday and Wednesday evenings at 20:15-21:00
(times may vary during school holidays)
Please note that this does include changing times.
We hold children's swimming lessons prior to this session, and in the interest of safeguarding, we need to ensure all swimmers have vacated the changing rooms before allowing our adult lane swimmers to enter. We would be grateful if you could wait in reception, and a member of staff will inform you when the changing rooms are available.
Bookings
To ensure adequate lifeguard coverage, bookings will be released on a weekly basis, only one week in advance. Bookings for the subsequent week will become available at 17:00 on Wednesdays.

Who can attend this session?
These sessions are suitable for swimmers aged over 16 years who prefer a gentle or moderate pace. Due to the pool temperature, this session may not be appropriate for those who swim at a faster pace.
Participants should be capable of swimming 18 meters to attend this session.
How many swimmers per session?
Each session accommodates a maximum of nine swimmers, ensuring an enjoyable and uncrowded environment for all participants.
What happens if I book but I cannot attend?
We are unable to process refunds or exchanges for cancellations made on the same day.

Please be aware that refunds will be issued minus a booking fee, and exchanges are subject to availability.
Cancellations
We are a private swimming pool with a small team of lifeguards. While we will do our best to ensure all sessions proceed as scheduled, in the event of a cancellation of our Adult lane sessions, we will notify customers via email or text. Please ensure your contact information is included in your booking details.
Pool Supervision
Two staff members will supervise these sessions. Whenever possible, at least one staff member will hold a National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. Staff members who do not hold this qualification will possess either the STA Safety Award for Teachers or an equivalent credential. Holders of these awards/qualifications are trained in pool rescue, first aid, and adult CPR techniques. If no staff member on duty holds an NPLQ, you will be asked to sign a form prior to entering the pool.
